Opening hours

The museum is open to the public every day except Tuesday:
From June to September: from 10am to 6pm.
From October to May: Monday from 2pm to 5pm and from Wednesday to Sunday from 10am to 12pm and from 2pm to 5pm.

The ticket office closes 30 minutes before the museum closes.

Annual closures: January 1, May 1, November 1 and December 25

 

Tariffs

Individuals

Full price: 6 € ; 8 € during the summer exhibition.
The full-price entrance ticket entitles you to a reduced-rate entrance to the Royal Saltworks of Arc-et-Senans (validity: 7 days), the Citadel of Besançon and the museums of the Centre of Besançon, the Comtoise Houses Museum in Nancray (validity: 1 year).

Reduced price (on presentation of proof): 4 €
More than 65 years old, large family, agents of the Doubs Department, active teachers, EPCC staff of the Saline Royale d’Arc-et-Senans, members of the Friends of the Louvre, CEZAM FRACAS card, on presentation of a full ticket Saline Royale (valid 7 days) or a full-price ticket from the museums of the Center of Besançon, the Citadel of Besançon or the Musée des Maisons Comtoises in Nancray (valid for 1 year), group of more than 10 people

Free (upon presentation of supporting documents):
For all on the 1st Sunday of the month, under 18 years old, students under 26 years old, Fine Arts and Art History students, job seekers, beneficiaries of the RSA, people with disabilities and their companion, heritage curators, agents of the Ministry of Culture, lecturer guides, journalists, members of the Maison des Artistes, members of the Gustave Courbet Institute, members of the Friends of the Courbet Museum, members of the New Patrons of Courbet, members of the Friends of the Musée d’Orsay, members of ICOM ICOMOS, Tourism Pass Pro card, Culture Pass (after booking on the application), Museum Pass card, Youth Advantage card, school groups, groups of people with disabilities, groups dependent on social organizations

Annual subscription: 15 € per person. Guided tours remain paid (4 € per visit, in addition to the entrance ticket).

Guided tour: 4 € extra for the entrance ticket.
